We would like to invite the churches for a time of fellowship concerning how to labour together with the young people, and specifically to prepare for the Winter School of Truth on The Two Spirits. In this time we endeavour to pursue the leading of the ministry and experience of the churches in how to care for the young people. We want to be saved from serving acccording to our preference, upbringing, disposition and  past experience, whether good or bad. But instead, come back to be calibrated to the way revealed in the ministry. 

In 1984 Brother Lee encouaged the churches in the Lord’s recovery to practice the Summer School of Truth. Many can now testify of the blessing that the churches which have taken up this burden have received over the years. In order to properly prepare for the Truth School, Brother Lee spoke the following:

I would encourage you to prepare not only by yourself but with others who will be teaching the young people. Come together with several others and check every point of every lesson according to experience. In addition, practice converting the doctrinal points into experience. This will be a good preparation for teaching in an experiential way. If you do this, the summer school will be a great benefit not only to the young people but to the entire church. Let us take this way to teach the young people in the Summer School of Truth. (Teachers’ Training, p. 74)

   


 

 

   Wherever and whenever possible, the serving saints, parents and burdened college age helpers from various localities and regions have come together before each Truth School to put this word into practice, and we have heard many testimonies of the rich benefit received from such times. Many now feel that such a time of fellowship for the serving ones and parents and college age saints is not only profitable but indispensable.  

Therefore, we would like to come together with any available serving saints in order to:

  1. Review the burden of the Truth School.
  2. Study and have fellowship over every key point of every lesson that will be covered in this year’s Truth School, and attempt to convert the points into experience.
  3. Have fellowship regarding how to carry out the Truth School, with a particular emphasis on the small groups (classes).
  4. Have more fellowship regarding principles of service in the Body of Christ and in God’s economy so that we all may advance in our service.
  5. Pray for the upcoming Winter School of Truth.


This is the second time we have participated in such a training and we can testify how valuable this time has been in bringing us into the vision, burden, coordination and supply for shepherding. We anticipate another rich time this Winter and look forward to serving with you all.

    Friday 30th November 7:30pm
Open fellowship for those who can make it  

Saturday 1st December 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
Training/fellowship. Five meetings in total – two in the morning, two in the afternoon and one after dinner.  

    
     Hospitality and Meals    
   

There is limited hospitality on the Friday night for up to 30 saints depending on the brother/sister ratio and we cannot guarantee that couples will stay together. If the demand for hospitality is greater we may be able to help you to arrange to stay at a low cost venue nearby. The cost of staying at Bower House is £10 per night.

Lunch and dinner will be provided at a cost of £3 per meal. Breakfast for those staying overnight will cost £2.
